A solar powered lamp that is suitable for any craftsperson/ cottage industry to work over and develop a product. The lighting unit is made of 2 parts; the holder and the lamp. The holder supports both the substrate and the lamp and is made suitabable to take the high temperatures (of a kiln in case of a terracotta) and the LED lamp (runs on solar energy) that is to be fixed once the product is complete. Powered by the sun, the lamp makes the product an independent entity without requiring wires and electricity. An inbuilt sensor turns the light on and off depending on the availability of ambient light. When fully charged the lamp can continously run for up to 12 hours.
